Welcome

Come join us contra dancing on Saturday nights in Lenox, Massachusetts in the Lenox Community Center, at 65 Walker Street. Experience the pleasure of dancing on a beautiful wood floor, in a high-ceiling second floor (handicap accessible) ballroom with a raised stage.

Admission is $10 and $5 for students New Dancers - 2nd dance free!.
Dances begin with a beginner introduction at 8:00 followed by more experienced-level dances from 8:30 to 11:30. Refreshments are offered during the social break from dancing. All the dances are taught. Come alone or with others.

 

Dances are held 3rd Saturday of each month.

March 15th 8-11:30 (3rd Saturday)

Russet Trio playing. These boys played a very exciting evenings worth of dances for us in September, so we're excited to have them back for us again.
Fern Bradley will be teaching and calling the dances.


April 19th 8-11:30 (3rd Saturday)

Bottom of the Bucket. is coming back to Lenox. Their music gets better and better with each year. We.re lucky to keep having them return.
Katy Heine from Ithaca, NY will be teaching and calling the dances.


May 17th 8-11:30 (3rd Saturday)

Beverwyck String Band playing. Featuring Peter Siegel (who frequently plays with many different bands), Kristen Brunner and Britany Orlebeke, all from the Albany area. For fifteen years the Beverwyck String Band has brought tight playing and fun energy to dancing.
With special guest Stuart Kenney.
Steve Howland will be teaching and calling the dances.


June 21st 8-11:30 (3rd Saturday)

The Flying Garbanzos are still with us. Anthony Pisano, Dale Ott, Eric Martin, and Josh Pisano. The Flying Garbanzos bring a very alive rhythm with strong drumming in addition to fiddles and keyboard.
Linda Leslie from Southeastern Massachusetts, will be teaching and calling the dances.
